JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng has administered over a-million COVID-19 jabs.

It believes it will surpass the two-million mark soon.

Officials say the expansion of vaccination sites is the main reason for this.

The province has increased weekend public vaccination sites from four to 17 sites.

This weekend alone, more than 5,400 vaccines were administered in four health districts, including Tshwane and Johannesburg.
