Cameron Wilson guilty of Lekita Moore's murder

CAPE TOWN - Multiple murder accused Cameron Wilson has been found guilty of killing five people, including 18-year-old Lekita Moore in Valhalla Park.

The verdict was delivered in the Western Cape High Court on Friday.

Wilson has been on trial for the past four months and has been convicted of 13 of the 15 charges he was charged with.months and has been convicted of 13 of the 15 charges he was charged with.

He was arrested in September last year after Moore's body was found.

The public gallery was again filled to capacity as relatives of Wilson's victims listened intently to Judge Chantel Fortuin's verdict.

Fortuin's verdict

Fortuin found Wilson guilty of the murders of Alfonzo van Rooyen, Toyher Stober and Ernest Erasmus in Philippi in 2014. Toyher Stober and Ernest Erasmus in Philippi in 2014.

Wilson was also found guilty of the attempted murders of Nicole McEwan and Roseline Lackay. They were both attacked on the same night as Moore. Lackay. They were both attacked on the same night as Moore.

Wilson was also convicted of the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition in connection with the murder of Toyher Stober, who was shot dead in Oct 2014.

Wilson has also been convicted for the killing of Moore in Valhalla Park last year and the killing and attempted murder of Stacey Lee Mohale and Abigail Plaaitjies in April 2015. He also raped Dawney Davids.

The judge, however, ruled that the State didn't prove beyond reasonable doubt that Wilson stabbed Cody Philander in 2015, and couldn't prove that he raped Mohale.
