Robbie Malinga Jnr is unlike most 20-year-olds in South Africa. Malinga leads a lavish lifestyle, splurging on designer clothes from high-end brands, such as Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci, luxury cars…and expensive jewellery.

On Monday evening, he showed off his latest “gift to self” — a Johnny Dang & Co diamond necklace — at the book launch of his late father’s memoir in Johannesburg.

And Mzansi has a few questions for Malinga Jnr about his seemingly never-ending inheritance money…

ROBBIE MALINGA JNR ON HIS FATHER’S LEGACY

Robbie Malinga Snr was a respected South African singer and producer. The afro-pop producer passed away at the age of 47 on 25 December 2017. According to reports, he died at home following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

After Robbie Malinga Snr’s death, Robbie Malinga Jnr took over his father’s Instagram and was not shy to show off his luxury vehicles…despite the fact that he couldn’t even drive them himself.

In an interview with City Press in 2018, he said he was posting his content on his late father’s Instagram because he’s also “Robbie”.

On his father’s legacy, he said he didn’t think he was damaging it because he was doing “this” even when his father was alive.

“You can go check, there’s a video I posted on my 16th birthday. My dad was so cool with what I do when he was here and I’m sure he still is.”

“People are always saying I’m spending all the money, but I’m a minor and I don’t have any money. Only when I’m 18 or 21 will that happen. I don’t have a car, I get driven everywhere.”

ROBBIE MALINGA JNR SHOWS OFF DIAMOND NECKLACE

Robbie Malinga Snr’s friends and family gathered at Universal Studios in Rosebank on Monday to celebrate the launch of his memoir, Robbie Malinga.

Robbie Malinga Jnr rocked up to the event donning a pair of Gucci sunglasses, a Marcelo Burlon County of Milan shirt and the flashy Johnny Dang & Co necklace.

American rappers DaBaby, Tory Lanez, and YoungDolph have all been spotted wearing one of Johnny Dang’s necklaces.

He posted a video wearing the necklace surrounded by his beefy bodyguards captioned: “JOHNNY ON MY NECK”.

MZANSI HAS A FEW QUESTIONS

Mzansi took to Twitter asking how much money Robbie Malinga Snr left his son after his death. One tweep wrote: “How long is that inheritance money!? The f*ck was Robbie Malinga doing when he was alive?”

Another tweep claimed that Robbie Malinga Jnr has a fleet of trucks to his name. “The money ain’t finishing anytime soon…”

Another wrote: “He must ask Bongani Fassie how fame and fortune inheritance can mess you up.”
