Leopard charges through Indian town

At a city in north India, a rogue leopard was captured after a seven-hour chase through the streets earlier today (March 15). The animal was loose in the city of Alwar in Rajasthan state, reportedly being spotted around 6:00am, when he was found roaming near a charted accountant's house roof near a secondary school. When locals spotted the leopard resting in the shade on the roof, they immediately informed police, who in turn contacted the Forest Department. After six hours hiding on the roof, the leopard ran towards a empty plot on the other side of building before being caught on a road nearby. Police, with the help of the forest team, were able to tranquillise him at around 12:30pm. The animal is expected to be released back into the forest.
