Entertainment magazine and celebrity gossip show The Real Goboza is ending after 14 years on the air.

The celebrity gossip show, which is produced by Urban Brew and presented by Sinazo Yolwa and Samora Mangesi, will be back for the last season on Saturday 17 July.

Curtain closes on ‘The Real Goboza’

The Real Goboza has been hosted by several media personalities over the years, such as comedian Trevor Noah, radio hosts Phat Joe and Dineo Ranaka and actresses Amanda du Pont, Pearl Thusi, Kuli Roberts and many more.

The current co-host Sinazo Yolwa who’s been on the show for nearly eight years, told Daily Sun that she was excited to be back for the final instalment.

“When I joined the show, it was a different set, crew, and presenters. So much has changed over the years.

“It is very sad for me to bid farewell to the show as it has been a part of my life for a long time, and taught me so much of what I know today.”

BEHIND-THE-SCENES DRAMA

Sinazo replaced Pearl Thusi after a Sunday Sun article reported in 2013 that the actress quit the show.

The article alleged that there was bad blood between Thusi and the show’s executive producer, Sydney Matlhaku.

Thusi declined to comment when she was asked to confirm her exit.

RUMOURS SURROUNDING CURRENT RGB HOSTS

A 2019 Sunday Sun article reported that the current hosts,  Sinazo Yolwa and Samora Mangesi, are allegedly feuding.

The article stated that Sinazo allegedly confronted Samora about a crush he had on her boyfriend.

This confrontation startled Samora who is apparently only tolerating Sinazo because they have to work together.

Publicist Tshegofatso Kekana dismissed the rumours, and even stated that Sinazo does not even have a boyfriend.

“Sinazo and Samora say there is no such. First, Sinazo does not have a boyfriend and according to Samora, Sinazo is one of the few people who took him in. They are good on and off-air.”
