Television personality Chrissy Teigen who has become a hugely controversial figure–though not for the first time–over the past couple of months, received some unexpected and emotional mail on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, and took to Instagram to share the moment with her loyal fans. Months after losing her third pregnancy mid-term, Chrissy got a huge pile of fan mail addressing the devastating loss, and was understandably emotional going through it.

Back in September 2020, Chrissy openly shared details about how and why she ended up losing her third child when she was 20 weeks pregnant, opening up a powerful conversation about miscarriage and pregnancy loss. Many fans reached out, but the company that she and husband John Legend use to receive fan mail, was shut down and not delivering letters. The company evidently reopened recently and Chrissy received all of the backmail.

Chrissy was stunned.

Chrissy was absolutely stunned at the sheer volume of mail fans sent her after the loss of her son Jack. "This is just piles of letters that we just got because the place we usually get mail from, where you guys send mail, has been shut down and it opened back up. And now we got everything," Chrissy explained tearfully.

Fans were incredibly supportive.

Although some people did criticize Chrissy for sharing such a personal experience so openly with the public at the time, it seems that the vast majority of the mail she received was positive, encouraging and supportive. She thanked fans and expressed her love for them as she went through the envelopes.

She promised to read every letter.

"You guys sent the most amazing condolence letters and cards and books, and I just wanted you to know we got all of them. All of them. And I'm gonna read them all, okay? I love you guys," Chrissy said on her Instagram story.

Chrissy's been so open about her grief.

Chrissy who shares two children with her Grammy-winning husband John Legend, has been incredibly [honest about her grief](https://chrissyteigen.medium.com/hi-2e45e6faf764) and the healing process. Posting updates on social media and being vocal about her struggles with infertility and pregnancy loss. For some, providing a source of hope and understanding.

But, she's also going through a rough patch.

Less than a year after her traumatic loss though, she came under fire for cyber bullying other up-and-coming celebrities earlier in her career. Chrissy admitted her wrongdoing, and [publicly apologized](https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/pop-culture-news/chrissy-teigen-has-apologized-bullying-her-targets-say-they-re-n1270910) to media personality __Courtney Stodden__, who made the initial claims. But more people including Project Runway alum designer, Michael Costello, came out with bullying allegations against her, and Chrissy has been "[canceled](https://pagesix.com/2021/07/21/chrissy-teigen-says-she-could-be-canceled-forever/)" by many in the months since.

She's trying to navigate the turn in the public's perception of her.

Chrissy who has 35 million followers on Instagram, still has many, many fans though, and while she knows she will likely continue to be a divisive figure, she's explained on social media that she's trying to figure out her next steps with the support of her loyal fans. "All I know is I love you guys, I miss you guys, and I just needed an honest moment with you because I’m just...tired of being sick with myself all day," she wrote on Instagram. We're sure all of the incredible letters she received were a huge and much needed encouragement to her.
