Biden's foreign policy agenda will address 'challenge' of China
The US Studies Centre’s Dr Gorana Grgic has spoken to Sky News about how the Biden administration will address aspects of its foreign policy agenda and issues relating to the challenge posed by China.
"It is clear that, that promise that America is back has entailed the critical component of being back in various forms of multilateral cooperation," Ms Grgic said.
"Whether those are organisations, various deals, treaties, regimes and similar - and also obviously alliance politics".
"We know that increasingly when it comes to the kind of strategic diagnosis, whether it's the one coming from the Indo-Pacific region, or in terms of the transatlantic relations, there is a growing recognition that China poses a challenge that needs to be dealt with," Ms Grgic said.
"And that to do so, the more nations you can subscribe to, to that quest, the better.
"To increase that leverage".
Ms Grgic said, "this is exactly what we will see that will play out when foreign policy starts rolling out here and as once all of these principles are all approved at the senate".
