DC National Guard brass details ‘frantic’ Capitol Police call, three hour approval delay

Maj. Gen. William J. Walker, commanding general of the D.C. National Guard, testified Wednesday that it took over three hours for the Trump administration to approve a request to deploy his troops, following a “frantic” call from then Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund.
